Abraxas sealing waxes are manufactured in the swizerland in a traditional manner. The ingredients are resins such as shellac, larch terpentine and colophony, finest chalks, mineral colours and noble perfume essences.

Sealing wax "Banklack"

The so called "Banklack" is composed out of different resins, shellac and colour pigments. It is free of chemical solvents and well to work with. The surface is blanc on one side but sawed on the other three sides. Although the Banklack doesn't look as nice as the Abraxas sealing waxes, its quality is very good.

Sealing Instructions:

For heating the sealing wax stick you may use a candle or even better a small alcohol burner.

Take care to prevent the wax stick from touching the flame to avoid soot.

To get the wax stick being heated steadily from all sides continously turn the top of the stick above the flame until it gets soft. Then dab it on the paper.

Dont let the wax get so hot that it begins to drop or even burn.

One sealing wax stick lasts out for approx. 30 seals (diameter of seal 24 mm) or more, if the seal is smaller.
